About Us

Dan Hopkins loved machine shop in high school and while he was still in high school he began working at Regalia Machine Shop and continued to work at Regalia after his graduation from high school in 1974.

Dan left Regalia and began working at Hill Machine in 1977 and in 1980 Dan purchased the cylinder head portion of the business from Hill Machine and name it Hill Machine Headworks.

Dan moved Hill Machine Headworks from its location on Leary Way in Ballard down the road to 615 NW 45th St. There Hill Machine Headworks stayed for 32 years until January of 2013 when Hill Machine Headworks moved to its current location at 4776 Shilshole Ave NW in Seattle Washington.

Dan turned the day to day operation of Hill Machine over to his son Michael Hopkins in 2010. Michael now operates the business with the help of Rick Teegarden.
